SQL Server Meets C#: A GitHub Codespaces Workshop

Details

Workshop Description:
Embark on a journey with us through the fascinating world of software development in our upcoming online workshop, "SQL Server Meets C#: A GitHub Codespaces Workshop." In this hands-on session, you'll learn to build a simple console-based todo application using C# and SQL Server, all within GitHub Codespaces - no installations needed on your local machine!
Whether you're a seasoned developer or a novice eager to dip your toes into the realm of software development, our interactive workshop will provide you with practical skills and insights into:

  1. Creating a C# console application using Visual Studio Code in GitHub Codespaces
  2. Setting up and interacting with a SQL Server database
  3. Implementing CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete)
  4. Building a simple, command-line interface

Prerequisites for Participation:

  1. A GitHub account. All our workshop activities will take place in GitHub Codespaces. If you don't have a GitHub account, you can create one for free here.
  2. Basic familiarity with C#. We'll guide you through the process, but a basic understanding of C# syntax and concepts will be helpful.
  3. A computer with an internet connection. All coding will take place in your web browser, so there's no need to install anything on your computer.

See you on Friday!
