Details

Join us for a captivating photography adventure to Fallingwater, an architectural gem nestled amidst the serene forests of Pennsylvania. This meetup promises an unparalleled opportunity to capture the essence of Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic masterpiece through the lens of your camera.

Location: Fallingwater, Mill Run, Pennsylvania

About Fallingwater:
Fallingwater stands as a testament to Frank Lloyd Wright's genius, seamlessly blending organic architecture with the surrounding natural landscape. Commissioned by Edgar Kaufmann Sr. and completed in 1937, this architectural marvel is renowned for its innovative cantilevered design, which dramatically extends over a cascading waterfall.

You must purchase a ticket to enter the property at the main gate, so deciding what you want to do is key. Please visit the website (https://fallingwater.org/visit/fallingwater-tours/) to see ticket options for ground tour or house tour. Several of us will be going on the 11:30am house tour if you would like to plan to join us!

Itinerary:
Morning Arrival: We will meet at the Visitor's Center of Fallingwater. Please meet us there between 10:30 and 11:00am.

Optional Guided Tour: A knowledgeable guide will lead us through the interiors and exteriors of Fallingwater, providing insights into Wright's design philosophy, the history of the Kaufmann family, and the engineering marvels that make this structure enduringly relevant.

Exploration Time: Following the guided tour, you'll have ample opportunity to explore Fallingwater at your own pace. Capture the play of light and shadow on the building's textured surfaces, the interplay between architecture and nature, and the mesmerizing beauty of the surrounding forest.

Lunch Break: We'll break for lunch, allowing you to recharge and share experiences with fellow photography enthusiasts.

Optional Afternoon Photography Session: on your own - continue to photograph the grounds!
