Roaming California

Details
Every now and again I get struck by an idea for a slightly different kind of roam. This one has been on my list for a while: to walk the from one end of California to the other.
Let's be clear: walking across the state is not within the remit of Roaming Zen, but walking this famous street in its entirity, across the city, is. After consultation with some of the regulars we thought it would be better to start at the western end and head downtown to the ferry building.
We will start at the Lincoln Park Playground at 33rd and Clement - look for us at the rocks in the bottom corner of the open space.
This is a one-way roam, obviously (the 1 and the 38 will get you there or back), and is a longer roam than usual, clocking in at close to six miles (according to Google Maps at least). There will be a few climbs along the way, but it will be all pavement, and there will of course be an overall net downhill as we roam to the bay.
Bringing water, snacks, and layers for all the microclimates is the way to go.
These roams are offered by donation. They are one way I am able to pay my rent in San Francisco.
Punctuality is always appreciated. Please send a message on the app if you are running a little late. I can usually respond to messages before we get underway, but then I won't be checking my phone. Meetup has now added a "share location" feature, so you will be able to catch up.
I know Meetup is notorious for no-shows and late changes of rsvp. I am not as strict as other organisers (we do talk to each other!), but I do track those who regularly drop off or no-show, and have disinvited several people with dismal attendance records, as it is discourteous for others who would like to attend.
