World's first Mirokai hackathon

Details

Enchanted Tools & RoboHack are proud to announce the world’s first Mirokai hackathon.

The Mirokai robot from Enchanted Tools is the most exciting robot currently in development. It has a planned launch date in Q4 2025 . As well as being novel mechanically, the robot is powered by a large language model (LLM) and has state of the art AI guiding its actions.

With only 20 robots currently existing worldwide, this is a unique chance to spend a weekend hacking on 2 of those robots before mass production commences later in the year.

The school of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University London (QMUL) are kindly hosting the event which will be held at its Mile End Campus, E1 4NS.

Please note:

  • This is an in-person event with a limited capacity. Please only RVSP yes if you are able to be physically present at QMUL on both 7th & 8th June
  • In order to program the robots some knowledge of python is required. If you do not feel comfortable reading & writing python this may not be the event for you.
  • We’ll be using the RoboHack discord to co-ordinate the event and allow attendees to contact each other and form teams. If you’re not already on the RoboHack discord you can use this link to join https://discord.gg/nqCa9HkNfM

## About Enchanted Tools

Enchanted Tools was founded in 2021 by Jérôme Monceaux (serial entrepreneur, co-founder of Aldebaran and co-creator of the Nao and Pepper robots) and Samuel Benveniste (PhD in science and former director of the national center of expertise in cognitive stimulation).

Enchanted Tools has raised the largest amount of seed funding in the history of French robotics, has been awarded the Deeptech label by the BPI and is one of 125 startups in the French Tech 2030 program. With the goal of producing 100,000 robots in 10 years, the company is aiming for global impact.

## The Mirokai : A generation of robots to re-enchant the world

Enchanted Tools created the Mirokaï, robots designed to meet the challenges of modern robotics by combining the useful and the wonderful. Mirokaï use multiple artificial intelligences to interact with users, orient themselves autonomously and perform logistical tasks in contact with untrained users.

Inspired by an original imaginary world, Mirokaï have a unique design and innovative technical features: an interactive face that reacts in real time to solicitations, two arms and two hands that can manipulate objects, and an innovative movement system based on a rolling globe.

## About RoboHack

RoboHack is the continuation of UKNAO (the UK NAO robot developers group). Since 2012 UKANO organised multiple hackathons, a conference and many events centred around the Aldebaran NAO and Pepper robots. After the COVID pandemic we re-branded to “RoboHack” and expanded our focus to cover anything related to robotics, but with a special emphasis on social robotics (robotics applications designed to work with people).
