Join Morgan as he discusses getting started with Fusion 360!

### In this workshop he will discuss:

  1. The Fusion 360 work environment
  • Folders and backups
  • Views and manipulation
  • Setup of units, grid vs no grid, preferences
  1. Test part created 1st of 4 ways
  • Extrude
  • Dimensions using drag
  • Dimensions using numeric entry
  • Cut
  • Cut one side, symmetric, two sides
  1. Saving part – Version #
  2. History bar
  • Naming features
  • Moving back and forth in time
  1. Test part created 2nd of 4 ways
  • Two circles extrude (all in one)
  • Advantages and disadvantages of this method.
  1. Test part created 3rd of 4 ways
  • Introduction to reference geometry – Center line
  • Revolve feature
  1. Test part created 4th of 4 ways
  • Square block to part.
  1. 15 minutes of Q+A

### If Time allows, depending on pace of workshop

  1. Radius and chamfer
  2. Simple Drawing from part
  3. Created mesh for 3d printing
  4. Show part in Cura

### Recommendations for workshop attendance:

  • This workshop is suitable for anyone wanting to get a quick start with Fusion 360 and maybe pick up some things you didn’t know.
  • It is recommended that you bring a laptop with fusion 360 installed, and verified that the program will load and open. This is not required.
  • We start on time.
