What we’re about
Welcome to the robotics meetup group in Nuremberg!
This group is a place to meet for enthusiasts and professionals passionate about mobile robots, humanoid robots, and drones - basically, all sorts of robotic devices that live and thrive "in the wild" 🤖🌲
Whether you're a beginner or an expert, join us to discuss the latest advancements, share knowledge, and collaborate on exciting projects in this dynamic field. Let's explore the future of robotics together and build a community around this topic here in Nuremberg and Northern Bavaria.
We also have a LinkedIn group just in case: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13054252/
Upcoming events (1)
See all- Special Event #03: Let's build a robot! 🤖LumaBIT GmbH, Nürnberg
Get ready for another unique event with our friends from LumaBit – this time, we’re building and coding our own robots! We've done this before and had tons of fun, so here are even more challenges to build upon 🦾
We’ll have five robot kits (check them out: https://shorturl.at/5TzgU) ready to assemble or program together, Hackathon-style. Depending on the number of participants, we'll form teams — there’s plenty of exciting work waiting for everyone!
We have four different challenges prepared, depending on your prior knowledge of the topic (and of course, you can come up with your own ideas):
Level 1: Assembly and use of the supplied software kit – ideal for those looking to gain initial experience with robotics.
Level 2: Analyze camera data using OpenCV and develop different algorithms to enable the robot to follow a line.
Level 3: Develop a TensorFlow model to make the robot follow a line – perfect for those wanting to integrate AI with robotics.
Optional: Control via ROS 2, the powerful framework for robotics. A preconfigured computer is available to help learn the basics of robot control. We'll provide food and drinks as usual. Note that this is not our usual meetup-style - there will be no presentation, we'll only build the robots (as if that wasn't enough 🛠️).
We'll provide the robot kits and motors, you only need to bring your own PC and have installed:

Arduino IDELooking forward to seeing you all there!
