Mobile Robots #06 - RoboCup & Intra-Logistics

It's time for our next meetup, and we have yet another set of awesome speakers - RoboCup, Hackbay, pib, and intra-logistics will be on the menu.

We'll again be hosted by our friends from Zollhof (see event details for the exact location if you're new).

1️⃣ Topic #1 - symovo - a lightweight AMR for intra-logistics

Tobias Fink - CEO of symovo and an active member in our group - will be presenting his startup and their main product, the movo-one. This is a lightweight autonomous mobile robot (AMR) designed to automate logistics in small warehouses and production sites. He will dive deep into its technical architecture, sensor systems, and multi-robot fleet management.

As always, there'll be plenty of time for in-depth questions.

2️⃣ Topic #2 - RoboCup German Open 2025

Markus Fenn - who has spoken at our Meetup before - will give us an exciting preview of the upcoming RoboCup competition. He will share insights into the event's different leagues, the cutting-edge robotics innovations showcased, and how teams prepare for this global challenge.

The event will take place on March 12-16, 2025 at Messe Nürnberg and is open to anyone to attend.

3️⃣ Topic #3 - HACK|BAY hackathon - an special invitation from our host

Anne Gerber from our host Zollhof will present their upcoming HACK|BAY, an innovation-driven hackathon bringing together developers, startups, and industry leaders to tackle real-world tech challenges. They’ll share what to expect, how to participate, and best of all—attendees this evening will receive a discount voucher to join the event!

4️⃣ Topic #4 - pib.rocks Latest News & Mobility Update

Jürgen Baier - one of our organizers and long-time host - will dive into the implications of adding legs to their robot. With mobility come new challenges in positioning, navigation, and interaction, requiring innovative solutions to keep the robot stable and functional in dynamic environments. This talk will explore the technical hurdles and next steps as pib evolves into a fully mobile platform.
