Juliana joined the Rochester Cleft & Craniofacial Team in 2023. As the Team’s senior speech-language pathologist (SLP), she monitors speech and palate functioning year-to-year for children with a history of cleft palate. She also works with other team members to create a therapeutic or surgical plan for patients to achieve their best possible speech outcome. Previously, Juliana worked as an SLP on projects sponsored by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. She continues to stay engaged in research through presentations, publications, and peer-reviewing. Her research interests include objective assessment of speech in children with cleft palate and simulation education with medical and pre-professional students.
