Details

This will be an easy-medium difficulty overnight trip on the Allegheny Front trail in Pennsylvania. I like hiking Pennsylvania in June rather than say the ADK because the ADK is still in full on bug season in June. While previous PA hikes have been relatively bug free.

The full 42 mile loop trail is considered one of PA's premier trails but we will only be doing a fairly easy 13.5mi section (8.5-9min on Sat, 4.5-5 mi on Sun) with not a lot of elevation gain. I nice hike through the forest and camping along a stream.

I you want to go on this trip, sign-up for the waiting list, then attend on of the planning meetings (to be scheduled). After we have met you, you can be moved from the waitlist to attending.

NOTE: There will also be a smaller group of us (maybe just me taking advantage of having Juneteenth off work) doing the full loop (~46 mi) trip, starting on Thursday and meeting up with the main group Sat to finish together. Tell me at a meeting is you are interested in this much longer route (4 days: about 14min/day except the last 5mi day)
