Climbing at the Sawmill - Staunton State Park!

Details

Let's spend the day climbing in beautiful Staunton State Park at the Sawmill!

This is a great crag with sport climbs ranging from 5.7 to 5.12. Approach is about one mile / 30 minutes.

Requirements: Everyone must know how to safely top-rope belay and have climbing shoes, harness, belay device with locking carabiner, and helmet.

If you have a rope, quickdraws, and anchor material (quad preferred) please bring them.

Mountain Project information here.
State Park information here.

We will meet at the Lazy V parking lot in time to start hiking at 7:30am (meet at the trailhead near the restroom).

Important: Life is risky and climbing is dangerous. This is not a guided event. Everyone is responsible for their own personal safety and liability.

Looking forward to a great day of climbing!
