Bear Creek Lake Park Paddleboard/Kayak!

Bring your paddle board or kayak and let’s hang out at the lake! If you don’t have your own you can rent one from Rocky Mountain Paddleboards. The cost is $29 for one hour or $45 for two hours, same price for paddleboards and single kayaks. It isn’t required but it is a good idea to reserve online in advance as they do sell out on weekends.

Park admission is $15 per car on weekends. This is not a state park so state park passes are not accepted. It would be easy to carpool from the gas station on the other side of 470 to cut down on park fees. We will meet in front of Rocky Mountain Paddleboards. The address is 15600 W Morrison Rd, Lakewood, CO 80228.

This event is weather dependent. If winds exceed 12 MPH, or if there is any lightning in the area, activities on the water will be delayed in 30 minute increments and will be assessed on an on-going basis by park rangers.

Bring snacks, cold nonalcoholic drinks, and don't forget your sunscreen!!!

Life jackets are required to at least be onboard at all Colorado lakes. This means you don’t have to wear it, but it must be visible at all times. If you do not own a life jacket they can be rented at Rocky Mountain Paddleboards for $5/hour.

Please note: You are responsible for your own safety. You MUST know how to swim to join this event OR if you do not know how to swim you must actively be wearing a life jacket at all times while in the water.
