Lead & Top Rope @ First Ascent Avondale!

We’re meeting up at First Ascent Avondale to do some rope climbing and hang out for a couple of hours.

Depending on your certifications, you can choose between lead and top rope climbing. If you’re leading, both you and your partner need to be lead certified. If you are new to attending these meetups, please feel free to list your belay certifications so we can gauge how everyone climbs that day.

Bonus: for the next few months, the gym still has the competition routes up from the Hell or High Point Rope Climbing Comp. It’s a fun chance to try some more technical climbs and push yourself a bit!

We’ll meet by the orange chairs near the front desk at 6:30pm.

Quick notes:

• We’re not affiliated with the gym. You’ll need to pay for a day pass or use your membership, and make sure you’ve got the right gear (climbing shoes and a harness).
• If it’s your first time, come early—they’ll run you through a quick safety orientation.
• Be cool. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or bad vibes.
• Climbing does come with some risk. When done safely, it’s an awesome sport and a great way to meet people—but always put safety first.
