Guaranteed to be a show full of hits and a rare combination of Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins sets in the same night.

Hailing from Blackpool, Pearl Scam are back with their yearly London show with support from Smashed In Pumpkins who have rarely, if ever, played a London stage.

The doors will open at 7 but we intend to arrange a pre-meet from 6 at a bar nearby TBC. Happy to take suggestions and will confirm it nearer the date.

Also to note, the gig will be at the Islington Academy 2 which is upstairs at Angel Central shopping centre, and NOT the main Academy on the ground floor which people often confuse it with and is not always specified in the bookings.

Celebrating 40 years of Master of Puppets we will be hearing this album played in its entirety with the addition of classics from other Metallica records making up a 2 and a half hour show.

Assault & Battery are described to be a local supergroup of members that also play in Slayer and Iron Maiden tribute bands indicating that we'll be witnessing some highly dedicated musicians bringing the records to life.

Also for those that are seeing the real Metallica this year this may well be a good way to get hyped their summer shows.

The gig is set to start at 8 but we can arrange a pre-meet in the upstairs bar at the venue from 6:30 to allow us a good amount of time to chat and get settled before we head down to the basement.
