Alang Madan Kulang Trek

Alang Madan & Kulang are three adjacent hill forts in the Igatpuri region. AMK is considered to be a very tough trek, but it is a dream trek for any adventure lover. Alang and Madan have technical rock climbing patches while Kulang has steep rock-cut stairs. All three forts have water cisterns and caves on the top.

Itinerary
Fri, 08th Feb
2100 hrs: Depart from Pune

Sat, 09th Feb
0500 hrs: Breakfast at base village and start trek
0800 hrs: Reach col between Alang/Madan. Madan climbing
1300 hrs: Descend from Madan and proceed towards Alang
1400 hrs: Lunch before climbing Alang
1700 hrs: Reach Alang top, explore and settle in a cave
2000 hrs: Dinner and stay in a cave

Sun, 10th Feb
0400 hrs: Wake up call
0500 hrs: Start descent
0700 hrs: Breakfast and proceed towards Kulang
1000 hrs: Reach Kulang top, explore and descend
1500 hrs: Meal at Ambewadi and start for Pune

Fee: Rs. 2500
Includes travel by non AC Pvt. vehicle, sleeping bag, and mat, 2 breakfast, 2 lunch, 1 dinner, equipment and expertise charges.
Excludes mineral water and anything not mentioned here.

Things to carry

• Proper trekking attire, full length preferably
• Extra pair of clothes for trek/travel
• Good trekking/sports shoes, no sandals
• Plate, spoon, mug
• Cap, sunscreen
• 2 L water, electral
• Energy bars, snacks,
• Sleeping bag, carry mat
• Torch
• Personal medicine/first aid

• Trek fee is non-refundable
• One has to follow the guidelines by the trek lead at all times, failing which may result in exclusion from the event.
• Smoking/Drinking prohibited

Note: It is an adventure activity, we do take all the precautions for safety and timings but, things may go off-schedule a bit due to weather, injuries or other emergency situations. Please enjoy the trek and be a team. Trek leads decision would be final.
