Come enjoy this revamped, scenic bike and pedestrian path that overlooks Iona Island, the Hudson River and the Bear Mt. Bridge. Maybe we’ll see an Eagle or two!
We'll take a break by the Turning pt. Church before heading back for a total of approx. 4-5 miles at a slow/ moderate pace. There may be a few short breaks in-between for some photo opts. along the way. We'll return to our initial meeting spot by the Iona Island access road for an optional short 1 mile walk to Iona island thru the marshlands for some breathtaking views. (Depends upon timing, weather and interest)

Optional dining after at a Stony Point venue depending upon availability and interest. For eating out, PLEASE BRING CASH AND CHANGE TO MAKE CHECK OUT QUICKER AND EASIER FOR EVERYONE. LETS' BE GENEROUS WITH TIPPING around the holidays and to help keep the restaurants alive.

The trail is paved with some gentle ups and downs so all you need are supportive walking or hiking shoes, boots or sneakers. The pavement can be hard on the feet though so use what works for you. Bring sun protection, Binoculars as it is a good birding place, Mandatory Water and snacks .

This path is not heavily used but it is still advised to keep to the right to allow cyclists and everyone to enjoy the path safely.

Carpooling is suggested.

Inclement weather cancels. ALWAYS check the day of an event for possible updates.
