Spooktacular Walk at Letchworth Village

If you dare, come join us for a haunting walk on the bucolic grounds of the old abandoned Asylum known as Letchworth Village. Celebrate the Halloween Season! For some history about Letchworth Village go to: https://the-line-up.com/letchworth-village

Today it is home to abundant wildlife and a few companies which are located on the grounds in another section. A developer has recently bought some of the grounds so it may be your last chance to experience this historic relic.

This will be about a 2 hour walk covering approx. 3 miles with many stops for photo ops and exploration. Much of the walk will be on level paved, crushed gravel paths, along with some uneven grassy areas. There is one moderate hill which you can opt out of. Trespassing inside the buildings is illegal and not allowed.

Weather resistant(depending upon previous days' weather) Hiking shoes or boots are recommended along with sun protection, Water which is mandatory and snacks. If we get a warm spell, bring Bug Spray.

Ghouls and Goblins welcome! Feel free to come in costume or accessorize for the season! Fun hats and costumes are encouraged but optional. I'll have a bag of goodies to share.

MEETUP in the parking lots on Ridge Road across the Letchworth Vllg. Rd. intersection. DO NOT PARK AT THE CHURCH.

If the church is open we might be able to use their restrooms as we did last time. No other restrooms available.

Directions from Route 202 in Mt. Ivy. Take Thiells Mt. Ivy Rd. 1.4 miles.
Turn left on Ridge Rd.. and go about .6 of a mile and park either in the lot on your left or on the right. The lots are before the intersection with Letchworth Vllg. Rd. at the stop sign.

Optional dinner at local venue depending upon interest and availability. Hoping for Lynches at his new location just a few minutes away on Thiells Mt. Ivy Rd.. or Gilligans also close by.
