Early Spring Westchester Riverside Walk

Come enjoy an early spring like day with a scenic riverwalk in Westchester. Let's look for signs of spring and see what's coming up!
The walk will be approx. 4-5 miles, 2 -3 hours at a moderate pace which includes breaks and stops to take in the views. We will be walking by the Tarrytown Lighthouse with views of the Tappan Zee and on to Pierson Park in Tarrytown then backtrack from there. Optional short walk to the Philipse Manor Train station with a giant eagle sculpture.
Restrooms available in Pierson Park.
Most paths are paved, or with crushed gravel and level with one moderate optional hill, grassy areas and a short woods trail in Kingsland Pt. Park. Weather resistant Hiking boots/shoes, supportive walking shoes suggested as there may be some wet areas at Kingsland Pt. Park.
Bring snacks, WATER which is MANDATORY, sun protection and dress in layers. Bring cash and credit cards for possible stop at venue in Pierson Park.

Directions to the park: From Rockland & Bergen:
Cross TZ bridge take first Exit 9 on your right.
Turn right onto 9N/ S.Broadway.
Go 2.1 miles and turn left on Pierson Ave..
In .3 mi. turn left on Palmer Ave. Proceed over bridge turn left and go past toll booth to parking lot. Lower lot available for additional parking
ALWAYS leave yourself extra time when finding a new place and do some research beforehand. I advise bringing printed directions as a backup.
