Rescheduled: Holi FESTIVAL OF COLORS!
Details
Get ready for a fun, cultural day of music, dance, a delicious Indian light lunch, a play zone for the kids and best of all, the opportunity to get covered in a rainbow of colored powders made of Organic Herbal Gulal! Don't forget your bangles, baubles, beads and bells to jingle while you dance!
It is suggested that you wear white, to best show the colors and clothing that you don't mind getting possibly stained. The powder's are SUPPOSED to wash off fairly easily but best to wear clothes you don't care about. PLEASE dress conservatively, as this is a family event.
BRING wipes, a towel and sunglasses you don't care about, to better protect your eyes and maybe an old hat. You may want to bring clothes to change into before leaving and a plastic bag to put the stained clothes into, or not. I wouldn't mind a little xtra color in my car!!
**Registration and pre- paying necessary at: https://icsronline.com/holi-2026/**
Members of the society are $10 and non members are $15. RAIN or SHINE.
Event takes place by the Pavilion behind the recreation center, near the lake from 12-3pm. See photos for full event flyer.
After or during the event we can walk the boardwalk and paths at Congers Lake. Part of the boardwalk is still closed so you cannot do a loop but can still get in the mileage! Rockland lake is just up the road for those wanting an additional walk and outing.
Inclement weather will cancel our meetup event, but you can still attend if you like. Always check the day of an event for possible updates.
Thanks Sam, for the "heads up" about this festive event.
