All of you Mothers and Surrogate Moms, come celebrate Spring with us for a fun filled, easy walk and dinner together!

We will be visiting the carriage barn with vintage horse drawn carriages and life sized model horses. If staffing allows we can also take a look at the current art show. After we will take a walk around the grounds to enjoy the majestic landscaping.

Ringwood Manor, a beautiful country house, which was home for a succession of well-known ironmasters for nearly 200 years sits comfortably on a low hill overlooking a landscape that looks as if it escaped from a painting. Iron production in this area began in the 1740s.

This will be about a 2 1/2 hour slow/ moderate walk with many stops along the way. Mileage approximately. 3 miles or less.

Recommended: Water resistant Hiking boots, sun protection, bug spray, Water is MANDATORY and cameras of course! Tuck your pants into your socks as a tick deterrent as there will be a few grassy areas(can be avoided). Great photo opportunities. We will be walking on paved, gravel and the grassy lawn, mostly flat with a few gentle inclines and steps which can be avoided.

No parking fee at this time.

Port o johns available. Restrooms may be closed due to Manor renovations.

The Kootz will be playing, starting approximately. at 5 pm but we will be dining in the far end of the restaurant away from the band so we can converse. Bring your earplugs if you plan to do any dancing.

DIRECTIONS: 287 TO EXIT 57, FOLLOW SIGNS TO RINGWOOD STATE PARK(RINGWOOD MANOR) (the entrance is right in the bend of the road) on your right.

If you get to Skyland Manor, Botanical Gardens and Shepherd Lake you went too far.

ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS: Take Skyline Drive to it's northwestern end at Greenwood Lake Trnpk(County Rt 511). Turn right & proceed north for 1.5 miles to Sloatsburg rd.. Turn right onto Sloatsburg Rd. & continue for 2.4 miles to the entrance to Ringwood Manor Park on the left side of the road. Park in area adjacent to the manor house and park office.

From Manhattan

Take the George Washington Bridge to Route 4 to Route 208 to Route 287 South to Skyline Drive. When Skyline Drive ends, take a right on Greenwood Lake Turnpike (Route 511). Take the second right onto Sloatsburg Road. Ringwood Manor is about four miles up on the left.

From Upstate New York

Take 87 to exit 15A. From 15A take Route 17 North. Exit at the sign for Ringwood and West Milford. That is Route 72, also called Sloatsburg Road. Ringwood Manor is about seven miles down on the right (a sharp right) in the bend of the road. There will be a State Park sign immediately before the turn.

From Southern and Central New Jersey

Take 287 North to the Wanaque exit. Take Ringwood Avenue (Route 511) north. Eventually it will become Greenwood Lake Turnpike. Take the second right after Skyline Drive onto Sloatsburg Road. Ringwood Manor is about 4 miles up on the left.

As with all of our events, you are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your guests. Hiking can be dangerous and injuries can occur, sometimes fatal. Trail blazes can sometimes be missing so there is always the possibility of getting off trail and possibly lost. Knowing this you agree to hike at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any injuries you or your guests may incur. If you wander off from the group you are responsible for finding your way back.
