Rockport Area Singles Social Group (50-70)

***This is a brand new group folks as of 4-28-2025 so be patient as we get the word out to find new members. Please tell anyone you know that might be interested in joining a local group for social activities. This a free group to participate with but is limited to 2 events per month and a maximum of 10 attendees (starter account).

Are you single in the Rockport, Aransas Pass, Portland, or Port Aransas areas and looking to meet new people who share your interests? Join us for fun social events, outdoor activities, live music, and more! Whether you're into trying new restaurants, the outdoors, happy hours or just hanging out with like-minded individuals, this group is for you. Let's explore everything the Rockport area has to offer together. Come join us and make new friends, create lasting memories, and enjoy the company of other singles in our community. Whether you're new to the area or a longtime resident, all are welcome to join the Rockport Area Singles Social Group!

Group Rules and Terms of Service:

• Defining “Single” – Single means that you are not married. Separated and/or going through a divorce is still considered married. By applying to be a member, you are affirming that you are single according to this definition.
• RSVP Etiquette - Please be respectful and keep your RSVP current. If you can’t attend an event you have registered for, please update your RSVP so others have a chance to see if there is an opening to take your place. Some venues, such as restaurants, require limited attendance. In that case, we’ll have a waiting list for anyone who still wants to attend once an event is filled. If you are a “no-show” and you block someone on the waiting list from attending, you may lose your membership in the group. ***Three "no-shows", whether or not someone is on the waitlist, may result in termination from the group.***
• Additional RSVP Etiquette - The event host usually reserves enough seats for those who have RSVP'd. If you show up to an event without an RSVP for yourself and/or a guest, you may be asked to find your own seat so as to not take a seat from those who have reserved a spot. PLEASE, it cannot be stressed enough, be conscientious regarding your RSVPs.
• Profile Pictures - We require that your profile includes a clear picture of yourself without anyone else in the picture. This helps the host and others recognize you when you come to the events.
• Behavior – Because we’re all grown adults, this should not need to be said, but unfortunately it does. Most events will be held in public places. Please always present yourself in a respectable manner. Excessive drinking, immodest attire, vulgar language, rude behavior toward other group members, their guests, and/or any event staff (waiters/waitresses, etc.) will be addressed by the leadership team and may be cause to be banned from the group. If you choose to consume alcohol, you will do so responsibly including, but not limited to, driving to/from events.
• Relationships – We encourage all members to make friends within the group, and we know that sometimes these friendships become more. If a closer relationship begins with someone in the group, your participation is still encouraged if it does not cause problems amongst other members.
• Photos - Photos are normally taken at our events and uploaded to the Meet-Up app so we can remember the good times. By becoming a member or participating in events, you agree to have your photo taken and potentially posted to Meet-Up or other social media.
• Disclaimer - You are responsible for your own safety and for determining if you are in a condition fit to participate. In no event will anyone be liable to any party for any direct, indirect, consequential, or other damages arising from attending an event. Attendance is at your own risk. The organizer, co-organizer, event organizer, host, and Meetup.com are not responsible for loss, damage, theft, injury to oneself or equipment, allergic reactions, speeding/parking/red light tickets, or accidents with your vehicle.
