Great Falls Outdoor Climbing

Outdoor climbing at Great Falls Park. We will meet outside of the visitor center and hike together to the Sand Box crag. This area is a short walk from the visitor center. Please come prepared with basic climbing gear (shoes, harness, chalk bag, & belay device), a climbing helmet, sunblock, water, and snacks. If you do not have a climbing helmet or belay device, there may be others willing to share. No prior outdoor climbing experience required. If you do have experience setting up top rope anchors and are willing to help set up that is appreciated! After climbing, those available for the evening may stay to grill near the visitor center. This will be a BYOBBBB (bring your own burgers, brats, buns, beverages), however some coordination for charcoal and cooking utensils is necessary . See you all there!
