Community Based NVC With A Personal Growth, Social Justice, And Diversity Embracing Lens
How do you lean into NVC in these times of chaos and stress? Where do you get stuck in old habits and can’t seem to use NVC in the moments you want to? In what ways would you like to deepen your daily practice of leaning into NVC in your personal, collective and professional life?
Whether you are teaching NVC or want to enrich your own practice, we want to help. Come join us for our Skills Development Practicum where you will receive support in applying your NVC skills, key distinctions and practices so you deepen your daily communication patterns and habits.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This is the Practicum segment of our Community Of Care program. Its focus is for people who already have an NVC practice and want to deepen their skills and consciousness.
You will experience:
- A diverse community to practice and grow with
- Wide variety of topics and activities to deepen your practice
- Empathy buddies to practice with
- Receiving a variety of resources to strengthen your personal NVC library
- Facilitators Susan Kaplan, CNVC Certified Trainer, and David Steele, RMCCN Accredited Facilitator, along with a few other guest trainers
PREREQUISITES
If you have already read an NVC book, attended a practice group or training, or watched videos, and know the basic skills and practices, like OFNR (Observation, Feelings, Needs, Request), then we encourage you to come checkout our Practicum.
WHO
Susan Kaplan is a CNVC Certified Nonviolent Communication Trainer, Wellness Practitioner, Warrior for the Human Spirit, Lead Facilitator of Community Based NVC program integrating NVC and Racial & Social Justice for Rocky Mountain Compassionate Communication Network, and, teaching Communication as A Spiritual Practice Series, Parts I and II through the Kabbalah Experience and Contemplative Center of Denver.
David Steele is a poet, writer, and life coach. He has studied and taught a wide variety of interpersonal communication skills from many disciplines. He was introduced to NVC in 2000 and has been conducting NVC trainings since 2009. He studied extensively with Robert Gonzales and Sarah Peyton. Prior to his introduction to NVC, he studied with Anthony Robbins, Jean Houston, Deepak Chopra, and Gay Luce. David is also a co-founder of RMCCN and currently serves as its executive director.
