RMCC Road Ride: City View / Conifer Mountain Loop

Details
Let's kick off the holiday weekend and the unofficial start of summer with some good climbing! For this ride we'll meet at the Ken Caryl Park-n-Ride, just east of the C-740/Ken Caryl interchange, at 7:45 for an 8:00 departure.
We'll climb Deer Creek and Turkey Creek and then do the reverse City View and then into Conifer. We then do the Conifer Mountain Loop which is my favorite of the "bonus" climbs in this area. I have it primarily mapped out to include the Christoper Road and Kings Valley extensions, but if you want just a little less climbing you can skip those and just do the standard Conifer Mountain Loop.
From there it's almost all downhill on the way back except for the much-loved Running Deer/Broken Arrow climb. The total route is 56 miles with 7300 vertical. (Just doing the shorter Conifer Mountain Loop subtracts 5 miles and 700 feet.).
Long Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46856517
Shorter Option: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46856484
The longer option has about 2 miles on a quasi-dirt road; the short option is 100% pavement.
Regroup Points:
Mile 21: Sinclair in Conifer
Mile 42: Pleasant Park Grange
This is a great route and features very limited traffic. Please join us!
While we do regroup periodically, RMCC rides should all be considered drop rides.
Non-dues-paying members are welcome and invited to join us on any ride! After three rides we do require that you join the club: https://www.rockymountaincyclingclub.com/rmcc-membership-application-form
