Littleton - Castle Rock Loop
Details
With this ride we'll start the transition into doing some of our more off-season routes. The goal of these rides is still to be fun, scenic, and challenging, but just not quite as much climbing as we have been doing!
For this one we'll meet at south side of the Littleton/Mineral Park-n-Ride at 9:45 for a 10:00 departure. We'll wind our way through Chatfield and Sterling Ranch and then ride some more rural roads down to Castle Rock. We'll work our way through town and then take in Sapphire Point, Mesa, Daniels Park, and then take some quiet streets and bike path through Highlands Ranch back to Littleton.
The total route is 57 miles and we still add up about 4000 feet of vertical--there actually aren't many flat miles on this route!

These are mostly quiet roads; there are a few sections with more moderate levels of traffic, as well as some bike path. But, because I do try to avoid traffic as much as possible, this route does have a lot of turns so I highly recommend downloading this beforehand!
We will regroup periodically, but this should still be considered a drop ride. Our regroup-at-the-store point is at the McDonald's in Castle Rock.
It's that time of the year where rides are subject to being rescheduled or cancelled due to weather. If you think you want to do this ride, then please RSVP so you are notified of any changes.
Non-dues paying members are invited to join us on the rides--once you've done 3 rides with the club we do ask that you join: https://rockymountaincyclingclub.com/
