Deer Creek - High Drive - Brook Forest Loop (RMCC road ride)
Details
Update 4/16: Cancelling this due to the Friday snow and cold temps on Saturday. Will reschedule for later in May.
----------------------------------------
For this ride, we'll meet at the Ken Caryl Park and Ride near Ken Caryl & C-740 at 8:45 for a 9:00 departure.
I commonly refer to this as my "default ride", not because it's mundane but because it has everything I'm looking for in a ride--good climbing, scenic views, and not much car traffic. What more could you want?
From the start, we'll climb Deer Creek Canyon, then take in High Drive and drop into Evergreen. From there, we'll go through the Buffalo Park area, and then complete the rest of the long climb up Brook Forest (which does gets fun at the end!). From there we'll drop down Shadow Mountain & Foxton road and get in the Broken Arrow climb before descending High Grade back to the P&R.
Route is 55 miles with 6500 feet of climbing. There literally are no flat miles on this one. If you are looking for more (!), we can look at adding in Rocky Top at the end.

Regroup Points:
Mile 21: Sinclar on the east side of Evergreen
Mile 41: Pleasant Park Grange
This is usually a great springtime ride. Hope to see you there!
Non-dues-paying members are welcome and invited to join us on any ride! After three rides we do ask that you join the club: https://www.rockymountaincyclingclub.com/rmcc-membership-application-form
