For this ride, we'll meet at the Ken Caryl Park and Ride near Ken Caryl & C-740 at 7:45 for a 8:00 departure.

Rescheduled from mid-April, I commonly refer to this as my "default ride", not because it's mundane but because it has everything I'm looking for in a ride--good climbing, scenic views, and not much car traffic. What more could you want?

From the start, we'll climb Deer Creek Canyon, then take in High Drive and drop into Evergreen. From there, we'll go through the Buffalo Park area, and then complete the rest of the long climb up Brook Forest (which does gets fun at the end!). From there we'll drop down Shadow Mountain & Foxton road and get in the Broken Arrow climb before descending High Grade back to the P&R.

Route is 56 miles with 6700 feet of climbing. There literally are no flat miles on this one. If you are looking for more (!), we can look at adding in Rocky Top at the end.

Regroup Points:
Mile 21: Sinclar on the east side of Evergreen
Mile 37: Sinclair in Conifer. Alternatively we can also use the Pleasant Park Grange at mile 42.

This ride will be a great way to kick off the summer riding season! Hope to see you there!

Like all RMCC rides, we will regroup periodically at the formal regroup points and at other times; but this should still be considered a drop ride.

Non-dues-paying members are welcome and invited to join us on any ride! After three rides we do ask that you join the club: https://www.rockymountaincyclingclub.com/rmcc-membership-application-form
