!!Important update!! - Rawson Lake Trail is closed due to bears, we will be going to Little Lougheed Trail instead!

Hello dog enthusiasts and outdoor adventure seekers are welcome to our second hike of the season! We will be doing Little Lougheed in Kananaskis.

Important Details:
Date: Saturday, Jul 22
Trail: Little Lougheed
Time: 10:00 am SHARP! Meet at the trailhead

Distance: 5km
Time: 3hrs
Dogs: Of course!! Must be on a leash and friendly

Highly recommend you have AllTrails downloaded and the trail saved this will make finding the trail very easy, there will be a bunch of crazy dog people there anyways so you can't miss us!

Trail details:
Discover this 5.0-km out-and-back trail near Canmore, Alberta. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking, snowshoeing, and running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash

What to bring:

  • Hiking boots
  • Poles are a good option
  • Dress appropriately for the weather
  • Bring a lunch, snack and water
  • Bring snacks and water for your dog
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Bear spray
  • You need a Canada Parks pass
  • AllTrails app handy
