Sister-poets Anara Guard and Gay Guard-Chamberlin will share some of their poems, insights on wordcraft, and stories about books and libraries. Learn tips and techniques along with inspiration for your own writing. Anara Guard, a former small-town librarian in New England, is the author of the novel Like a Complete Unknown, two poetry books, and a short story collection. Her poems have won a John Crowe Ransom prize and a Jack Kerouac prize. Gay Guard-Chamberlin is a Chicago artist and writer whose most recently published poems appear in the collections Wild Crone Wisdom and Rising from the Ashes: Musings on Menopause.
