OBSIDIAN DOME LOOP TOWARD HARTLEY SPRINGS CG. (POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE)

TRIP IS NOW POSTPONED UNTIL A LATER DATE!

Please join the Sierra Club Range of Light Group on January 7 for a snowshoe outing. Skiers are welcome if they are comfortable with a snowshoeing pace. Our current destination is the "lollipop" loop toward Hartley Springs CG, which may or may not be groomed. We will snowshoe the main road (mostly flat), turn at the Hartley Springs sign, loop up moderately steeply, then down toward Obsidian Dome, loop back to the main road and out to our cars. This is our proposed route at this time. Snow and weather conditions may dictate either an alternate route or cancellation. Any changes will be posted here.

Meet in front of the Union Bank in Mammoth Lakes at 9:00AM sharp. We will sign a Sierra Club waiver form (required), then carpool to the Obsidian Dome parking lot off of 395, a 15-20 minute drive. Please dress in layers for conditions, no cotton, and bring water, snacks and a lunch. Well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be leashed, and owner should be prepared to pick up after their pet.
