Easy Beginner Hike to Little Space Mountain

This is a short, easy hike just to get out in the afternoon and stretch one's legs. Meet at the parking lot just off the 395 at the 203. It's the one with the Casa Diablo interpretive sign and within view of the Ormat Geothermal Complex.

We'll start there, head over to the forest, and hike up to the little hill with the earthquake monitoring equipment and antennas. It's mostly forest service roads. It's not flat and there may still be a few patches of snow. There are actually great views of Long Valley and Mammoth Town from this hill. This hike takes about an hour, maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

Please come prepared and be self-sufficient. You may need layered clothes, hat, gloves, jacket, hiking boots. No dogs, please. Rain, threatening rain, lightning, snow, or potentially dangerous weather will cancel. Twelve people maximum. PLEASE RSVP on Meetup.
