Remove invasive Russian thistle by Navy Beach, Mono Basin

We need volunteers to help us remove the invasive species, Russian thistle, this Thursday and Friday (7/24-25/2025), from Mono Lake Basin. It is still green and most of it is not too prickly yet. We will meet at the turn off to Navy Beach each day at 8:30am. People need to bring gloves, water, wear long sleeves and a hat for the sun. We will have bags to collect the Russian thistle.
