Join us for an easy hike at Hot Creek Interpretive Trail! This beautiful geologic hot spot is under threat from mining exploration and we will be hiking along the interpretive trail while discussing the significance of this site and why it's worth protecting. Bring a sack lunch and we will enjoy a picnic together after the hike. This hike is about 1.6 miles with a 137 ft elevation gain. There is an option to continue on the path for a while longer to extend the hike to 2 miles if attendees would like.

This area is a renowned fly fishing and recreation area with hot springs and beautiful water features. To find the trailhead travel from highway 395 and take the Hot creek hatchery road 15 minutes south of mammoth lakes. You will then proceed 2 miles on paved road and 3 on gravel. The trailhead will be on the lefthand side.
