I started the Roll and Connect Sushi Social Club because I love the process of making sushi, but I find it is always much more enjoyable when shared with others. This group is for anyone who wants to learn the ropes of rolling sushi while meeting new people in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Whether you are a total beginner who has never handled a bamboo mat or someone who already has a favorite filling combination, you will fit right in.
Our gatherings are pretty simple. We provide the space, the ingredients, and the equipment, and we spend the afternoon or evening learning techniques and chatting as we work. The goal is to walk away with a decent roll and a few new connections. There is no networking agenda or formal presentation, just good food and good conversation.
