Within the standardized Design Consultant's curriculum, the permaculture toolbox is interpreted through specific cultural and geographic lenses. Many people think first of gardening or food forests - the practice includes much, much more! From holistic health to financial systems, a plan can be shaped using permaculture's tools of observation, analysis and relationship. To absorb the knowledge offered in the Designer's Manual text or to apply the principles in the field is a lengthy process: this is why cooperative learning and sharing is critical to the movement's success.

Bring the curriculum from a Permaculture Design Certificate course or your favorite permaculture book to show. I will bring several examples of course workbooks so we can compare teaching styles and topics.

Learn to apply permaculture principles, axioms and techniques in designing your landscape, business or personal life. Permaculture is much more than landscape design combined with ethical practice: It is a template for systems design everywhere, on every scale.

This open discussion will be lead by Claudia Joseph, organizer of this meetup group. She has taught on both coasts, is a certified PINA teacher and a daily practitioner of permaculture techniques..
