About us
Film Club Room 8 is a space for those who enjoy watching films, learning more about the nature of human relationships, discussing different life situations, and reflecting on what happens between people and within ourselves — and why.
At our gatherings, we watch carefully selected films. Each meeting is dedicated to a particular theme: relationships and couples, love and dependency, family, parenthood, intimacy and loneliness, difficult choices, personal boundaries, interpersonal conflicts, and the questions we ask ourselves about our own lives.
Before each screening, we offer a short introduction with a psychoanalytic perspective on the theme — an idea or concept that offers another way of looking at the film, its characters, and perhaps ourselves.
After the film, we reflect and discuss. Everyone is invited to share their thoughts, feelings, and reactions. Not to find out what the film “means,” but to explore why the same story can affect each of us so differently.
You don’t need a background in psychology or film criticism to participate. Just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to observe your own life.
The film ends. The experience begins.
Spots in the group are limited.
