Roots Fusion Dance is a weekly partner dance gathering rooted in connection, consent, and creative collaboration. We dance fusion and micro-fusion—blending elements of blues, tango, west coast swing, waltz, zouk, lindy, bachata, and other frame-based partner styles—set to contemporary music with varied tempos.

When & Where
Thursdays, 7:00–9:30 PM (beginning January 8, 2026)
Brigid’s Loft, 280 Quincy St., Port Townsend, WA
2nd floor, upstairs from Bazaar Girls Yarn Shop
• Plenty of parking on Quincy and Washington Streets

Evening Flow
7:00–7:30 PM: Intro lesson (fusion foundations and style-blending)
7:30–9:30 PM: Open dancing

What to Expect
• No partner required
• Beginners welcome
• Gender-free lead/follow; role switching encouraged
• Supportive, community-minded atmosphere
• Recreational drug- and alcohol-free space

Cost
$7–14 sliding scale (financial support available—ask an organizer)
Consent & Safety
Fusion can range from open hold to close embrace. Please obtain consent—verbally or clearly—before close embrace, especially with new partners. No high lifts; low lifts require clear verbal consent. Footwear
Clean, non-scuffing indoor shoes recommended. Bare feet allowed at your discretion.
