ROS By-The-Bay June 2023

ROS By-The-Bay is the Bay Area's only meetup exclusively for Robot Operating System (ROS). This month we'll have three speakers, a ROS community update, and plenty of time to chat with your fellow developers. Whether your just starting to learn about robotics, or a seasoned industry veteran, ROS By-The-Bay is a great event for connecting with other local roboticists.

This month's speaker will include:

• Charles Cross, CTO of Mission Robotics, will discuss the new Bristlemouth open hardware standard for maritime devices developed by SoFar ocean. Charles will talk about his experiences with the standard for maritime ROS robots.
• Alexander Yuen, senior controls engineer at Polymath Robotics will discuss, "ongoing work in developing methods for automated tuning of localization for general industrial vehicles."
• Steve Macenski, owner of Open Navigation LLC, will give a brief update on the future of the Nav2 project.

Additional Details

• We'll provide pizza and refreshments!
• We plan to have at least two hours for networking.
• Talks start promptly at 7pm, please arrive early if you would like to enjoy a slice of pizza.
• This event will be hosted at the Intrinsic offices in Mountain View. The location is easily accessible by car, bus, and CalTrain (San Antonio Stop).
• Event attendees must comply with the ROS Code of Conduct.
