ROS By-The-Bay October Meetup at Intrinsic: Swift for ROS + ROSCon Global Recap

ROS By-The-Bay is the Bay Area's only meetup exclusively for Robot Operating System (ROS) users!
For our September meetup, we have three fantastic speakers at an amazing new location: Intrinsic HQ at 650 Clyde Ct, Mountain View, CA 94043.

Our speakers for October will include:

• Yutaka Kondo, Principal Software Engineer at TIER IV, who will discuss
  swift-ros2, a native ROS 2 client library for Swift that, like
  rclcpp and rclpy, is built on top of rcl, letting iPhone, iPad, and
  Mac join the ROS 2 graph as first-class nodes with no bridge required. Yutaka will walk everyone through its design and introduce Conduit, an iOS app built on swift-ros2 with over 10K downloads that turns Apple devices into ROS 2 sensors. The talk will end with a live demo of multiple Apple devices interoperating with existing ROS 2 nodes on Linux.
• Davis Foster, co-founder of Agency Tool Company, will talk about his experiences at Scythe Robotics led him to build Agency Tool Company.
• José David Díaz, co-founder of Thrust Robotics, who is visiting from Spain, will present how Thurst provides robotics professionals confidence in their testing regimes.
• Kat Scott will give a recap of the most interesting talks at ROSCon Global 2026 in Toronto.
