Champagne & Ceramics

Details
Mark your calendars for Big Day of Giving, May 4, and help us picture a more artistic future! This year we’re celebrating our supporters with an exclusive BDOG thank you for donating. With any gift made over $50, you can pick up a unique ceramic tea mug made by artist Akela Husdon (@akelahudson).
Champagne and Ceramics will also feature an art demonstration by ceramicist Freddy Santana. His work can also be viewed in the current exhibition Off Center.
Freddy Santana is a Sacramento regional ceramic artist and educator. Freddy’s work represents the
exploration of tradition without being limited by that same tradition. Inspired by his culture. He states
“philosophies and ideas, the forms and techniques, the images and symbolism reflect both my history and my
present. However, I do not seek to replicate tradition, for I am not solely my past. I am the present using
modern techniques and materials and struggling with modern themes.”
During this campaign From April 20th to May 4th, your donation goes twice as far with the help of matching funds from JMC Homes, Taylor Builders, the Nancy and Kenneth Kahn Family Fund, and Mary Ann Flemmer. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to keep the arts vibrant in our community.
We hope you can join us for Champagne and Ceramics on May 4th from 4pm – 6pm! We’ll celebrate with a glass of bubbly and a ceramics art demonstration. You can pick up your $50 donor gift in person now at the gallery during business hours until May 6th! We suggest an in-person pickup for these lovely pieces but if you’d like one shipped please contact us to arrange payment for shipping.
