Come join us for a trail ride along the American River out toward Nimbus Dam.
Shadow Glen Riding Stables works with riders of all experience levels. The cost for the one-hour ride is $55 and includes the horse, basic instruction, wrangler/guide, and helmet.
If you’d like to attend, please RSVP by 5/15/26. If nobody signs up, Frank and I may have to regroup at a local bar and recover emotionally.
We picked a Wednesday because most of us are retired and figured a weekday group ride would be quieter and more relaxed. If there’s enough interest, we could move it to a weekend — just keep in mind the trails and stables will likely be busier with the general public.
PLEASE READ:
- Each person will make their own reservation and pay $55 at time of reservation. Be sure to say you're with the Chris Keener reservation
- Weight limit of 300#
- Riders must be ambulatory and able to sit upright. A ramp is available for assisting people with walkers or need help getting onto the horse.
- No ADA equipment provided. No carts or buggies.
- Maximum group size is 16.
