All are invited to participate in this special Meditative Walk through the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory on Belle Isle at 4 Inselruhe Ave., Detroit, Michigan.
There is no charge for entrance into the Conservatory; however, a Michigan State Recreation Passport is needed to DRIVE onto Belle Isle. (There is no cost to enter Belle Isle Park as a pedestrian or cyclist.) If you do not have a Michigan Recreation Passport and need to purchase one, you can do so at the entrance to the island for $14 per vehicle. Please plan accordingly - carpooling is encouraged.
*Please note: Belle Isle is extremely busy during the summer months and especially on weekends. To minimize possible delays and ensure promptness, please allow for ample time to travel, taking into consideration traffic conditions and congestion on and around Belle Isle.
**Please also note the Belle Isle Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory does not allow for events to take place there - please just refer to us as walking together in meditation.
Plant life offers such a deLIGHTful array of abundance and appreciation. From the air that we breathe, the nutrition it provides, and the sheer beauty we can behold, plants are an integral aspect of life on earth. There are absolutely no parameters around the walking meditation so you can make it to be as you wish.
The majestic Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory hosts an exotic and rare collection of plants from around the world and is the oldest continually-running conservatory in the United States.
