Discover the fascinating world of fungi on this one-mile guided walk at Gator Trails Park. Led by Sarah Denison Williams, Florida Master Naturalist and Community Education Manager with Big Waters Land Trust, this program will explore the diversity of mushrooms found in Southwest Florida and the critical role fungi play in healthy ecosystems. Participants will learn basic tips for finding and identifying native mushrooms. Foraging for or eating mushrooms is not permitted during the program, and all specimens will be returned to the forest. This program is offered in partnership with Big Waters Land Trust.
