(Re)building professional identity: Strategies for migrants in the Netherlands

It can be very hard for migrants (newcomers, refugees, statusholders, expats) to re-establish their professional identity within the Netherlands. To be able to make this a smoother process, both input from the host country (NL) and the migrant is needed. Therefore, it is essential to have conversations with each other on how to navigate this best.

Do you struggle with finding a job and presenting yourself in the Dutch labour market? Or do you have experienced it yourself already and do you have tips for others? Then this brainstorm session might be just right for you!

What this meeting will look like:
👩🏽‍🎓 We will start off with a small seminar of about 5-10 minutes to introduce the concept of professional identity and its estbliashment among migrants in the Netherlands.

💬 There will then be time to discuss with one another what struggles are encountered among the attendees with finding a job and constructing professional identity in the Netherlands. We can discuss with one another what could be helpful in the process.

The goal is to create an inspiring session where we can all learn from each other with regards to the construction of professional identity.
