Welcome to The Rotterdam (long-term) Investors Meetup Group!

Hello, my name is Reddy. I am an engineer by profession and passionate about stocks, investing and capital markets. I have lived in over half a dozen countries before, but it was always hard to find a group of like-minded people to discuss and share knowledge about public equities, understanding businesses, their competitive advantages and durable strengths, valuation, expectations, etc. I believe mutual learning and sharing insights create a better understanding of businesses.

What's the purpose of the group?
The purpose of the group is to meet up periodically and discuss various aspects of publicly listed international businesses, valuation, business models, future prospects, etc. including but not limited to book recommendations (accounting, finance-related psychology, history, biographies), research tools and platforms, and deep dives.

Who should join?
Anyone interested in capital markets and equity investing through direct stocks and ETFs. Enthusiasm and curiosity about businesses are enough. Prior experience is NOT needed, however, if one is investing already, it's a plus.

What will we do at the event?
We will pick a topic/agenda, and dissect and discuss it from multiple points of view. Of course, learn together and have fun.
