Time: 14:00 â 16:30
Location: Kunsthal Rotterdam
Price: âŹ35 per person
The price includes: - Museum entrance ticket to Kunsthal Rotterdam. - A 2.5-hour guided interactive experience. - Four carefully designed art-based exercises. - Facilitation throughout the event by Celia, specialized in Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology with a focus on the role of art in health. - Event planning and organization.
Maximum number of participants: 10 people. About the experience What if looking at art could become a way to better understand yourself and connect with others? Join us for an interactive museum experience that explores the relationship between art, health, and human connection. Through guided activities, participants will slow down, observe with curiosity, and engage with artworks in new and meaningful ways.
The experience includes 4 exercises.
1. Show Me What You See Working in pairs, one participant describes an artwork while the other listens without seeing it, creating a mental image through words alone. Once the artwork is revealed, participants reflect on how memories, emotions, and assumptions shape the way we interpret what we hear and see.
2. Explore Each Other's Perspective Participants carefully observe an artwork, identifying colours, textures, shapes, and other visual details before interpreting its meaning. This exercise encourages mindful observation, curiosity, and appreciation for different perspectives.
3. Stepping Into a New World Participants imagine stepping into the world of a character from an artwork through guided questions about thoughts, emotions, and sensory experiences. The exercise fosters empathy, imagination, and emotional awareness.
4. Reflection & Creative Response The experience concludes with a moment of reflection, where participants can write about or discuss an artwork that resonated with them and share insights from the afternoon.
After the experience After the workshop, anyone who would like to continue the conversation is welcome to join us for drinks at Bokaal. This is a great opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere.
Please note: drinks and any food ordered at Bokaal are not included in the event price and will be paid individually by each participant.
No artistic knowledge or experience is requiredâjust curiosity and an open mind. Come as you are, meet new people, and experience art as a space for reflection, connection, and wellbeing.
