Recommended: Rotterdam Rides 2023

To celebrate cycling in the city on May 14th there's this second edition of Rotterdam Rides.

This event is not organized by the Rotterdam Tours Meetup Group, but we co-promote it as it's a nice initiative with many possible (cycling) routes you can attend.

From 12:00 to 18:30 there're all kinds of tours, most of these starting from Deliplein Katendrecht. For example, join one the following tours:

• Riverside Ride: Cycle on the river side and enjoy the beautiful sights. This route is 15km long. There are some stops and games in between! Sign up for free on the website of Rotterdam Rides.
• Backyard Ride: There's lots of nature around Rotterdam. For example the "Ackerdijkse plassen", a great place for bird watchers. Learn all about the biodiversity in and around Rotterdam, by guides from Natuurmonumenten!
• Cyclist Group Ride: A ride for for all of us that like to cycle long distances. With a group of cyclists (wielrenners) you cover about 85 kilometers in Rotterdam area.
• Urban Ride: This one is for children between 5 and 14 years old: On BMX you explore the Hefpark! Go wild ^^
• Crazy Bike Ride: Do you build your own bikes, or like challenges on riding a bike? See the most awesome bikes 'round town!
• Port Ride: See the Rotterdam Harbour during a short or long route from the Deliplein. You'll see the Sluisjesdijk, Cruise Terminal and the biggest independent craft beer brewery. This tour is without guide though you can ride with any group that you meet at Deliplein.
• Nature City Ride: Explore Rotterdam and see botanical gardens, famer houses surrounded with green & more! This tour is for everyone that likes GREEN. There's a different starting point: For the South Route the starting point is: Kinderboerderij de Molenwei bij het Zuiderpark. For the North Route the starting point is: Kinderboerderij de Kraal. Start = 11am.
• Zwerfie Ride: Do you like cycling, meeting people and would you like to contribute to a cleaner city? Join this Zwerfie Ride! If you have, take your bicycle bags with you.
• Spring maar achterop Ride: Ride together with young Rotterdammers and mentors, see the city by bike and play games in The (Euromast) Park.
• Playground Ride: Get to know hidden playground paradises - A tour for children and their (grand)parents + friends.
• Womens Pioneer Ride: Pay tribute to the (Rotterdam) woman while cycling the Womens Pioneer Ride. Go on a journey through time past works of art, companies and initiatives by female pioneers that make Rotterdam the metropolis it is.

The Rotterdam Rides event is organized by the Rotterdamse Fietsalliantie.
