What we’re about

Roundtable Ajax is a bible study modelled on Jordan Peterson's Exodus Biblical Series.

In the spirit of roundtables there is no single guiding or teaching person. Instead, we rely on our collective wisdom and experience in the Christian faith to open up a space where we can talk about the things you just don't regularly have the opportunity to in other places.

Just like the Exodus Biblical Series, where you have Peterson coming with a psychology background, Pageau with Orthodox symbolism, Dennis Prager with Jewish history, Guinness with Christian theology, Orr with philosophy, and Hurwitz as a novelist, I hope we can bring our own experience and wisdom into focus on the scriptures we're reading.

You can get an idea of what a roundtable bible study would look like by watching the Exodus Biblical Series. While we are sure to have less pedigree on display, I'm sure our personal participation will make it just as interesting.

All who are genuinely curious are welcome, all who would like to discuss the hard questions, the "stupid" questions, or the awkward questions.

I think we'd be meeting in a public place to start like a public library or community center meeting room or something like that.

I'm new to meetup and organizing events in this way, in general, but I just want to throw it out there and see what the interest is like. I do have positive experiences in training and chairing/moderating teams that I think will translate well to organize a group like this.

Roundtable bible studies are not intended to replace church bible studies but simply to augment them and provide an outlet for additional conversation.

You can join our discord, too.

If you're looking for more free form but still meaningful, exploratory conversation, check out Estuary Ajax, designed for exactly that purpose.
