Open Studio Evening

Welcome back after the summer break!

Term has started (for those that are tied to school terms) and it's time to get the learning going again.

This month is a gentle ease back in. I know that some people have never set foot in a photographic studio, and quite a few have never played with flash equipment beyond built-in flash on their cameras. So, come and have the run of the studio! Play with flash, ask about flash, try different things with flash.

Bring a subject you'd like to photograph, whether a person or an object - the trickier the better! We'll apply sound photographic technique and see what works and what doesn't.

Just some of the things we can play with: different types of light, different modifiers, gels, props...

We'll follow this up in October with a group review of those different light types to see what the difference between high, middle and lower-end lighting is.
