D&D 5e (2014) / The Last Stand of Castle Rend / Otsuka RPG Day

The Tyrant Lord Saxton has decided it is time to end the rebellion to his rule lead by the young Edmund Bedegar and is marching his army towards Castle Rend. Spies report he has taken a detour to the town of Gravesford where he is attempting to cast a ritual of subjugation to extend his rule over the land and its people. It is up to you to stop him before he can complete the ritual and end his tyranny.

This is a D&D 5e (2014) adventure for 8th level characters. It will primarily be combat focused and aims to envoke climactic final battles similar to Helm's Deep or Pelenor Fields.
For character creation any official source books pre 2024 Player's Handbook may be used. We will not be using any 2024 content. You may equip your charaters with whatever equipment they would reasonably have and up to one magic item of up to Rare rarity.
