Vampire: the Masquerade / It's Sabbat Time / Asakusa Game Night

Details

The World of Darkness is similar to our own, but grimmer, more savage, more corrupt, and filled with even more horror... In particular, vampires. Some may know of the Camarilla, the society which seeks to preserve the Masquerade that hides vampires from mortal eyes and ensures they are not hunted by day. Others may have heard of the Anarchs, idealistic rebels unbound by the stifling rules of their elders. Then there is the Sabbat... the fangs in the night who give other vampires nightmares. The most horrific and savage... and least talked about. This is a game about your humanity and losing it to the monster inside that craves endless blood. This is not a nice game. This is not a friendly game. Adult themes and triggering topics may include, death, murder, torture, mutilation, slavery, child abuse, religious themes, sex, and in-character conflict. The object of this game is not to make the players feel triggered, but it may very well push the lines of what is enjoyably uncomfortable. This is a horror game.

**********

It is late 1999 in the UK and the new millennium beckons. Rioting has struck some cities as panic over the Y2K rises and doom sayers announce the end of days. A feeling of tension and the need to release that tension grips the country in a mix of hedonism and fatalism. The Camarilla maintain their ancient hold over most of the British Isles, but they have been coming under increasingly brazen assault... but in the Welsh capital of Cardiff things have been quiet... so far.

Character creation will be part of the story and no previous knowledge of Vampire lore, or system knowledge, is needed for this one-shot game. Blank character sheets will be provided. Please bring a pencil, an eraser, plenty of d10s (preferably in 2 easy to distinguish colours - red and black is traditional), and an open mind.
